What is an Intranet?

An Intranet or Extranet System often refers to an organization's internal website, but may be a more extensive part of the organization's information technology infrastructure. It may host multiple private websites and constitute an important component and focal point of internal communication and collaboration.

What can an Intranet do for your company?

On top of the obvious benefits of creating an internal communications platform that moves away from a more traditional email set-up, an Intranet system has the ability to store and categorise knowledge and information. This offers the company a chance to retain critical staff knowledge and expertise long after staff members have left the company.
